Test 400 is not a distinct compound. It is a name for a class of high-concentration testosterone blends carrying roughly 400mg of total testosterone per millilitre, usually combining a short ester with one or more longer ones so a single injection produces a composite release curve rather than a single decay.
Because it is testosterone, everything that belongs to the parent hormone applies unchanged: it aromatises, it binds the androgen receptor, and it is 5-alpha reduced to DHT exactly as any other testosterone ester does. The blend changes the release timing and nothing else.
The figure on the label needs care. Esters add mass, and different esters add different amounts, so 400mg of blend does not deliver 400mg of testosterone. Two products with the same headline number and different ester ratios deliver measurably different amounts. That is arithmetic that follows from the chemistry rather than a quality issue.
Getting 400mg into a millilitre also requires more solvent than a 250mg product. Higher solvent content is what makes high-concentration oils easier to draw but more often associated with injection-site discomfort in user reports. That is a formulation property, not a property of the hormone.
