Superdrol, Turinabol and Anadrol

Three orals with genuinely different profiles, frequently grouped together and rarely distinguished.

Superdrol is methasterone, a 17-alpha-alkylated and 2-methylated DHT derivative. It does not aromatise, and it is noted across the literature for a high hepatic burden relative to other orals. Half-life is approximately 8 hours.

Turinabol is chlorodehydromethyltestosterone, a chlorinated derivative of methandrostenolone. The 4-chloro substitution prevents aromatisation, which is what separates it from its parent compound. Half-life is approximately 16 hours, the longest of the three.

Anadrol is oxymetholone, a 17-alpha-alkylated DHT derivative. It does not aromatise, yet it has documented direct activity at the oestrogen receptor, which produces oestrogenic effects an aromatase inhibitor cannot address. It is the clearest example in the category of why non-aromatising does not mean non-oestrogenic.

All three share the 17-alpha-alkylation that makes them orally active and carries the hepatic consideration.
